      The Civil Service Care Leavers Internship Scheme is a flagship scheme which gives care leavers the chance to benefit from a 12-month paid internship in a central Government department/agency, with the possibility of the post being made permanent at the end of the 12 months.

      Grant funds available to 18+ Hampshire Care leavers. Maximum grant award is £400. Details of general eligibility/ target beneficiaries/ acceptable projects (requests)/ exclusions and how to apply can be found on the website.

      PLEASE NOTE: At present, an application form will need to be printed/ completed/ returned to- grantsadmin@hiwcf.com. Applications need to have/ be supported by a professional sponsor (input from your key worker such as VC adviser or Leaving Care PA).

      The Care Leaver Covenant is a national inclusion programme that supports care leavers aged 16-25 to live independently.

      The First Star Scholars (FSS) programme is designed to support young people academically, personally, and socially throughout GCSE’s and A-Levels (or equivalent) in order that they can get the grades needed to enter higher education and go on to obtain a good degree. The programme is flexible and can support students who wish to go on to study any university course, or those who wish to gain employment.
