Course Information - Preparation for English Functional Skills (Online Course)

This FREE online course is aimed at adults living in Hampshire aged 19+ who would like a taster of the English functional skills curriculum. This course will support you to gain essential English skills needed to progress in the workplace, education or at home. The course will include the following:

• How to communicate information, ideas and opinions clearly and effectively 

• Be able to understand a piece of text by skimming and scanning 

• Complete a piece of writing, on a given topic 

Commitment 

• You will attend a tutor-led online session 2 hours a week for 6 weeks
• You will be offered learning tasks to carry out at home, in your own time
• You will be offered the opportunity to progress to further learning

Eligibility & Contact Details

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but it is not intended as an ESOL programme. You will need access to a suitable device with a camera and microphone.

This course is FREE OF CHARGE and funded by the UK Government for eligible adults living in Hampshire aged 19+.
