Course Information - Develop Your English Speaking, Listening & Communication Skills

This FREE online course is aimed at adults living in Hampshire aged 19+ who would like to develop their knowledge and skills of English speaking, listening and communication skills. This course will also prepare you for the functional skills curriculum if you do not currently have a Level 2 English qualification. The course will include the following:

•       Ask questions to gain information

•       Listen and respond to questions

•       Talk about a subject for a few minutes

•       Engage in a discussion with people about an everyday topic

•       Explore synonyms to gain a knowledge of new words to gain a wider vocabulary.

Commitment

• You will be invited to attend a tutor-led online group session 2 hours a week for 6 weeks
• You will be offered learning tasks to carry out at home, in your own time
• You will be offered the opportunity to progress to further learning

Eligibility & Contact Details

There are no formal entry requirements for this course but is not intended as an ESOL programme. You will need access to a suitable device with a camera and microphone for this course.

This course is FREE OF CHARGE and funded by the UK Government for eligible adults living in Hampshire aged 19+.
