      Welcome

Hampshire Achieves Adult Tailored Learning courses are subsidised with funding from the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA). You may not be aware that the Government provides funding for adult learning so we can provide your course free of charge, or at a reduced fee. We report on our learner attendance and need to show good value for public money. Poor learner attendance could impact on future grants, so please ensure you are aware of the expectation for 100% attendance on your course before applying.

Our Learner Handbook explains what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. We urge you read through before starting a course.

      7.0 Safeguarding and British Values

Safeguarding including the Prevent Duty is intended to promote the welfare of our learners, especially those who are most vulnerable, by helping to protect them from bullying, harassment, abuse of any kind, discrimination or victimisation. This also includes supporting any learners who are at risk or being radicalised or drawn into terrorism.

If you feel at any time during your course that you have been subject to, or have witnessed, any of the above, you are encouraged to let us know. We promise to take anything you tell us seriously.

Our Safeguarding Poster outlines Hampshire Achieves commitment to keeping you safe and promoting British values. These include democracy, rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance for those with different faiths and beliefs.

In your class your tutor will make sure that your individual views are heard and valued; discussion and debate is encouraged and opportunities are taken to explain rights and responsibilities.

If you have any concerns for your own, or another person's safety, then please report this by emailing our dedicated safeguarding email address at: HAsafeguarding@hants.gov.uk
