Our Family Learning and Wellbeing courses are designed to increase your knowledge and skills to support your children's learning and develop positive mental health and wellbeing.
Hampshire Achieves offers a range of short courses to help you develop a variety of skills including healthy eating, goal-setting, decision making, problem solving, communication, presentation skills, healthy lifestyles, self-confidence, resilience and motivation.

Course Information - Journalling for Wellbeing
This FREE online course is aimed at adults living in Hampshire aged 19+ who would like to gain a sense of wellbeing through writing in different forms, exploring, recording and reflecting feelings of everyday life events. During this course you will reflect and describe the little things that make you happy through words and pictures and complete a piece of writing that you are happy to share in a supportive group. This may include:
· Writing a short poem
· Creating a positive motto or quote
· Completing a piece of free writing
Commitment
- You will be invited to a tutor-led, 2-hour online group session, for 6 weeks
- You will be offered learning tasks to carry out at home, in your own time
- You will be offered the opportunity to progress to further learning

Course Information - 'Food & Mood' Improve your Health & Wellbeing Through your Diet
If you are 19+, living in Hampshire and would like to learn more about how your diet can affect your mental and physical health, then Hampshire Learns can offer you a two-day, online wellbeing programme, completely free of charge.
· On this course you will discover the wonderful world of the ‘gut microbiota’ and how the bacteria in your gut can influence your weight, your mood, and potential allergies and intolerances.
· You will discover how you can optimise your diet by adding inexpensive foods, receive top tips how to save time and money, and which foods to avoid as they can be linked to mood instability.
You will also explore the links between body image, triggers, habits and coping mechanisms when making healthy choices about your diet.
Commitment
- You will be invited to attend two x four-hour tutor-led, online group sessions
- You will be given a link to additional learning to carry out at home, in your own time, to extend your knowledge and understanding
- You will have the chance to explore progression opportunities and further learning

Course Information - Living with Food Allergies or Intolerance
If you are 19+, living in Hampshire and would like to learn more about how to live with food allergies or food intolerances then we have the perfect FREE online course for you. This programme is ideal if you, or a family member has a food allergy, intolerance or coeliac disease and you would like to know how to manage food preparation at home, eating out, and while travelling. This tutor-led course will include:
- Explore how food allergies and food intolerances develop in the body
- Find out the difference between a food allergy, a food intolerance and conditions such as coeliac disease
- Discover how to identify allergens on food packaging, menus and websites and prevent allergen contamination.
Commitment
- You will attend two x four-hour tutor-led, online group sessions
- You will be given a link to additional learning to carry out at home, in your own time, to extend your knowledge and understanding
- You will have the chance to explore progression opportunities and further learning
