Digital Champion Volunteers

Join us as a 'Digital Champion'
We need your help to support library users in Hampshire to feel more confident using digital devices, accessing the internet and carrying out online activities.
Digital Champion volunteers make a real difference to someone who is getting left behind and disadvantaged by changes in the way we access and use services.
We would love to speak with you if you can help local people to:
· Use a smartphone / laptop or tablet device
· browse the internet
· set up and use emails
· use online applications such as banking, shopping or health services
· scan a QR code
· spot an online scam and stay safe online
Full support and training will be provided.
For further details please speak to a member of your local library team, or email us at: learninginlibraries@hants.gov.uk

Digital Champions - Useful Information & Guides
If you are new to helping others, Good Things Foundation have produced some free guides to help you support others with their digital skills, using a simple FREE online site called 'Learn My Way'.
If you are not already familiar with 'Learn My Way', we suggest that you register and complete some topics.
To join our Hampshire County Council - Adult Tailored Learning Hub simply use the following code number 9009569 when you create your account at Learn My Way | Develop Your Digital Skills.
The guidebooks are aimed at Digital Champions and produced by Good Things Foundation, a national charity that helps people to get online, in partnership with Digital Unite, a social enterprise working towards a more digital inclusive world. You can use these guides in different ways, you can read through them all, or dip into different parts when you need them.
You don’t need to be a computer expert to help others!
