Sector-Based Employability Programmes
Sector Based Employability Programmes help prepare individuals to apply for jobs and volunteering in a specific area of work. Our intensive courses are designed to help meet employers immediate and future recruitment needs, as well as recruiting a workforce with the right values, attitudes and skills to sustain and grow businesses.
Hampshire Learns can offer bespoke Sector-Based Employability Programmes to meet employers' needs. For more information on these programmes please contact hampshire.learns@hants.gov.uk.
We are currently working in partnership with DWP to offer SBEPs in Childcare & Schools, Public Sector & Customer Service and our team have also offered these programmes to recruit individuals into Health & Social Care, Construction, and HGV Driving, details of which can be found below:

The Childcare & Schools Sector-Based Employability Programme is a short FREE online programme aimed at people who have a keen interest in working in various childcare and educational roles including early years education, running a child-minding business, teaching assistant, learning support assistant, teaching (all ages), play and youth work.
You will find out about the skills, values and attitudes required to work with children and young people, build your confidence for interviews, and learn how to target your CV and cover letter to this rewarding sector. We will also offer you the opportunity to link with employers at the end of the programme, including the option to participate in work experience in an early years setting.
There are no formal entry requirements, although a keen interest in working in a school or childcare setting is essential. For more information please see the attached flyer

If you are age 19+, living in Hampshire and currently looking for employment, a change of employment or facing redundancy, then we can offer you this three-week employability programme completely free of charge. You will find out about the skills and attitudes required to work in the public sector, build your confidence for interviews, and learn how to target an application, your CV and a cover letter to this sector. We will also offer you the opportunity to meet with employers and the apprenticeship hub. You will also be offered the opportunity to practice your online interview skills.
