GOV.UK have put together some useful links and sources of support so that children and young people, parents, carers, and school and college staff can get the advice and help they need. They have also added a new module to the RSHE curriculum for primary and secondary schools specifically designed to focus on mental health.

SHOUT is the UK’s first free 24/7 text service for anyone in crisis. It is supported by a nationwide team of Crisis Volunteers. There are opportunities for volunteers as well as information for learners. https://www.giveusashout.org/

Self Harm Support Hub now launched
The self-harm support hub is a centralised local resource for parents, carers and professionals who support young people who self-harm. The hub provides information and resources on how to support young people who engage in self-harm, including evidence-based strategies for prevention and intervention, webinars and training, and peer support for parents, carers and professionals. Our Hampshire Health in Education website links to free resources, guidance and signposting around emotional wellbeing for primary, secondary and post-16 education settings – as well as many other linked health topics such as sleep and online safety. We also provide free brief e-learning for all education staff on Emotional Wellbeing and Self Harm. There is also further signposting on the Mental Wellbeing Hampshire website. -
