• March 2020 - Supporting Learners with Dyslexia

    • Dyslexia is one of the most common barriers to adults within learning environments.  It is part of a group of conditions under the heading of neurodiversity.  As tutors is it important that we support learners in accessing their courses and provide the strategies and resources to aide learning.

Many adults do not realise that they have indicators of dyslexia.

Dyslexia is covered under the Equality Act 2010 within the disability protected characteristic.

The links on this section will help to deepen your knowledge of dyslexia

    • If a learner is about to start employment then they may be able to apply for the cost of a full dyslexia assessment to support access arrangements at work.
