    Work Experience

Work Experience is an important part of your careers journey and helps you explore future options while developing the skills employers value. Hampshire Futures works closely with your school and local employers to make sure every placement is safe, meaningful, and tailored to help you prepare for life after school.

    Why Work Experience Matters

Work experience gives you the chance to:

    • Discover what different jobs are really like
    • Build confidence and communication skills
    • Develop teamwork, problem‑solving and resilience
    • Understand what employers expect
    • Strengthen future applications for college, apprenticeships, or work

Many students say work experience helps them make clearer decisions about their next steps.
